Nutmeg Sports, HAN’s Connecticut sport show, airs Monday-Thursday at 2 pm on HAN.Network, hosted by Frank Granito, Kevin Coleman and various HAN sports editors.

On the Thursday, August 10, episode of Nutmeg Sports, Frank Granito and Kevin Coleman wrap up the week of Nutmeg Sports with special guest Dave Ruden of the Ruden Report. Plus an update on the Fairfield American squad who is now just one win away from being the first Connecticut team to advance to the Little League World Series since 2013.

First up, Frank and Kevin welcome Dave Ruden to the program to get ready for next week and the start of preseason practice for FCIAC football teams. Dave answers questions from our hosts regarding the upcoming FCIAC football season, including the impact David Summers will have at St. Joseph, what year two of the Drew Pyne era will look like at New Canaan, and if there is anyone that can beat Darien. Dave also will be talking about the Ruden Report’s upcoming media days for both FCIAC football and boys soccer which will take place before the end of the month.

Our hosts also take a look at the Fairfield American Little League team competing in Bristol in the 2017 New England Regional tournament. After winning their first two games by a combined score of 17-4, Fairfield American will play for a spot in the 2017 Little League World Series in Williamsport on Saturday afternoon in Bristol.
