The game was carried live by the HAN Network at live.HAN.Network and on NCAdvertiser.com and FCIAC.net. You can watch the game below (no spoilers in this post). Check out NCAdvertiser.com for coverage of the game online and the New Canaan Advertiser in print on Thursday.

The Rams are coming off a season in which they went 11-9-1 with berths in both the FCIAC and state tournaments. Guilford was 9-8. The two teams met once last year, with New Canaan winning 9-3; the previous season, the Indians defeated the Rams twice.

The HAN Network will be covering numerous events throughout the FCIAC’s winter season, including ice hockey, basketball, wrestling, swimming and diving, and the conference’s postseason championships.

Upcoming broadcasts include a boys ice hockey doubleheader at Bennett Rink in West Haven on Monday, Dec. 21. In the early game at 4 p.m., the Staples-Weston-Shelton co-op team will face Amity, and in the late contest at approximately 6 p.m., New Canaan will square off with Notre Dame-West Haven.

After Christmas, HAN has more boys ice hockey with St. Joseph at West Haven on Monday, Dec. 28, at 5 p.m.; and rivals New Canaan and Darien facing off on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 4 p.m. You can see the complete broadcast schedule here.

The HAN Network, formerly known as Hersam Acorn Newspapers, is the exclusive FCIAC broadcast partner through the spring of 2018. HAN Network’s broadcasting division replaced HANRadio.com with a new focus on live video streams of high school athletics along with the Network’s news and lifestyle programming.

Along with Connecticut high school sports contests, HAN broadcasts a daily news program, Coffee Break, focusing on southwestern Connecticut at 11 a.m. and a sports talk show, Nutmeg Sports, Monday-Wednesday. You can watch all the shows at live.HAN.Network or on demand at live.HAN.Network/han-on-demand/.
