Nutmeg Sports, HAN’s Connecticut sport show, airs Monday-Thursday at 2 pm on HAN.Network, hosted by Frank Granito, Kevin Coleman and various HAN sports editors.

On the Monday, June 11, episode of Nutmeg Sports, the spring championships are officially in the books and Frank and Kevin are back in studio to break down all of the action. 12 state titles were claimed by an FCIAC school as the conference took home at least one championship in every sport except for baseball.

First up, Nutmeg Sports is happy to welcome the head coach of the 2018 Class L boys lacrosse champion Ridgefield Tigers, Roy Colsey. Coach Colsey led the Tigers to their third state championship in program history on Saturday, defeating Darien 9-8 ending the Blue Wave’s 76 game winning streak and run of 3 consecutive Class L state titles.

Next on the show, our hosts look back at the rest of the CIAC’s weekend championships. New Canaan defeated Ridgefield in girls lacrosse, St. Joseph boys lacrosse and softball both took home titles. Frank and Kevin look back at all of this weekend’s games and leave you with their final thoughts on the 2018 spring season.
