Tim Quinn joins us in studio to discuss this weekend’s 12th annual Blueberry Festival takes place Saturday, July 23rd from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m., rain or shine at Trumbull’s Long Hill United Methodist Church.
The church cooks have been at it for a few weeks. Organizer say these are not your ordinary, store-bought pies, either. With at least 1 pound of berries in every single pie you can see why there is a 100% sellout of these pies every year, so get there early. The blueberry pies will be sold at the Festival either by the slice, as pie ala mode, or entire pies to take home. You can purchase already baked or fresh frozen with complete with baking instructions so you can bake one up fresh whenever you wish.
