Trumbull takes on crosstown-rival St. Joseph in the second game of a doubleheader featuring the boys and girls basketball teams from both schools.
The boys’ game, the second game in the annual doubleheader between the Eagles and Cadets, was held at Fairfield University’s Alumni Hall on Saturday, Jan. 9. The girls played first, and you can watch that game on demand here.

The event is part of the 9th annual Officials vs Cancer fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society, with $1 from every $6 ticket sold donated to the cause. Fairfield County Board No. 9 of Approved Basketball Officials have raised more than $120,000 the past eight years. ACS fund-raising events will be taking place during the game.
The varsity boys’ game tipped off before 8 p.m. Trumbull is 4-1 (1-0), St. Joseph is 1-2 (0-1). You can watch the girls’ game at this link.
