On the Monday, August 7th, episode of Nutmeg Sports Kevin Coleman and John Kovach will breakdown several local stories from around Fairfield County including, Swim Across The Sound 2017 that took place this past weekend. More than 150 people took part in a swim across Long Island Sound from Port Jefferson, N.Y., to Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport on Saturday.
First up, Kevin and John will introduce the show and get you all caught up on recent local sports stories. The guys will take a look at some footage from this past weekend’s Swim Across the Sound that took place this past Saturday from Port Jefferson, NY, to Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport.
In the second block, Kevin and John continue to look back at video footage of the Swim Across the Sound from this past Saturday. John who attended the event, will give his thoughts on what he saw as he stood by the finish line at Captain’s Cove.
In the final block, Kevin and John will recap stories from this past weekend in the sports world. They will give their thoughts on some of the action that took place in the soccer world this past weekend, a former New Canaan Ram football player gets high praise from his head coach at Boston College, and an update on the Fairfield American Legion baseball team.
