Nutmeg Sports, HAN’s Connecticut sport show, airs Monday-Thursday at 2 pm on HAN.Network, hosted by Frank Granito, Kevin Coleman and various HAN sports editors.

On the Tuesday, March 6, episode of Nutmeg Sports, Frank Granito is joined by FCIAC hockey coaches Rich Bulan of New Canaan girls hockey and Shaun Gallagher of the Ridgefield boys hockey team to talk about their successful FCIAC seasons and upcoming state tournament games.

First up is Coach Gallagher talking about his program’s second consecutive FCIAC championship which came Sunday with a 6-4 win over top seeded Greenwich. Frank and Coach Gallagher look ahead to Ridgefield’s run for back to back Division 1 state championships, starting tomorrow night against the Fairfield co-op.

Next, the New Canaan girls ice hockey coach Rich Bulan joins Frank, as the Rams get ready for their semifinal game vs rival Darien on Wednesday night. It will be the fourth meeting of the season between the Rams and the Blue Wave, New Canaan has won the first three. Coach Bulan talks about the legacy of a senior class playing in possibly their final two games, and the immediate impact several freshman and sophomores have had on the team this season.

Finally our host recaps Monday’s state tournament games and gets you caught up on the upcoming games plus several rescheduling updates.
