Michelle Graham, co-chair of Swim Across America Greenwich-Stamford shares her story

This week, Denise is talks with Michelle Graham, co-chairvof Swim Across America Greenwich-Stamford.

Michele Graham’s daughter Nicole, age 19, is a Leukemia survivor and is a sophomore at Dartmouth University. Nicole was diagnosed at age 16 when she was a student at Greenwich High School and went through treatment at Yale University. Nicole was the guest speaker at the Swim Across America event in 2013, shortly after she was diagnosed, and became very involved with Swim Across America and its beneficiary, the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, after the completion of her treatment.

Michelle shares her family’s journey and discusses how others can make waves to fight cancer.

Denise offers a Mindful Minute of advice on the tragic shootings in Orlando and how you can help. She also talks about the importance of cyclists, drivers and runners sharing the road for safety’s sake.
