Inside a stadium with a rich history, the HAN Network met with the captains and coaches of a high school with a rich history in athletics. The second stop on our winter FCIAC Tour was at Stamford High School’s Boyle Stadium on Tuesday morning, Dec. 8.
Before starting our live winter sports coverage, the HAN Network set out on another voyage through Fairfield County to meet the captains and coaches of the teams at all 17 FCIAC schools. You can check out the other interviews at this page or on our YouTube Channel.
The tour started on Monday afternoon, Dec. 7, at Darien High School and is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Greenwich. There are nearly 30 games on HAN’s winter schedule that include eight sports: Boys and girls ice hockey, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, boys swimming and indoor track. You can check out the winter schedule at this link. (Note: It is subject to change the season progresses.)
Our initial 2015-16 winter sports schedule includes at least two Stamford contests: Norwalk at Stamford boys basketball on Tuesday, Jan. 12, and Trinity Catholic at Stamford boys basketball on Friday, Jan. 22. But some more games could be added during the season and HAN has exclusive broadcasting rights for all league postseason contests.
Rob Adams, HAN Network’s sports director, conducted the interviews of the Stamford athletes and coaches who joined us on Tuesday, Dec. 7. We were also treated to a preview of the school’s winter concert on Thursday, Dec. 17, by the Stamford Madrigal Singers. You can watch all the interviews — and performance — below:
