A possibly armed robber held up a jewelry shop at the Westfield Trumbull Mall Wednesday afternoon, according to Hearst CT Media.

As we’ve been reporting for the past few days, brush fire risks were high this week, due to weather conditions and fire officials in New Canaan battled a blaze yesterday. Darien fire officials also battled a fire, that they are calling “suspicious.”

An Easton couple who sold highly addictive narcotic pain pills from their Adams Road home has been sentenced to seven years and committed to the state Department of Correction.

A Trumbull man and a Stamford man have been arrested on warrants for conspiracy to commit larceny in the second degree at the Trumbull Police Department in connection with an employee shoplifting ring at Home Depot that was exposed on April 10.

The CT Mirror reports, with backing from Connecticut’s pediatricians, the House of Representatives voted 129 to 13 Wednesday night for legislation allowing physicians to prescribe cannabis oils to treat children for a half-dozen serious medical conditions.

It was an uncomfortable photoop at the New Canaan train station yesterday, between First Selectman Rob Mallozzi and a representative from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Shake Shack has resubmitted its application for several sign variances to the Darien  Zoning Board of Appeals. A previous variance request was denied by the ZBA, prompting many, including property owner David Genovese, to believe the burger chain would walk away from Darien.
