The estate of Maren Sanchez, the 16-year-old high school student who was murdered in the halls of Jonathan Law High School last April by a fellow student, has brought a lawsuit against the city of Milford Board of Education and the city of Milford as well as against Christopher Plaskon and his parents, David and Kathleen Plaskon.

The video of a Darien teen brandishing a firearm and shouting taunts, posted on the social media group Snapchat, has been obtained by The Darien Times.

On Wednesday afternoon, a smoke detector at a Jennings Road apartment in Fairfield saved the life of an unconscious man, according to the Fire Department.

Shelton Police arrested a Bridgeport man today for stealing 12 firearms from a home.

Victoria McGrath of Weston and her college roommate Priscilla Perez Torres will be awarded posthu­mous degrees from Northeastern University.

A Wilton home at 42 Scribner Hill Road was heavily damaged by fire on Wednesday, March 16. The residents were not home at the time.
