Watch top-seed Greenwich take on St. Joseph for the FCIAC boys hockey title on the HAN Network in streaming HD for free

For Connecticut hockey fans, the FCIAC saved the best for last. The final league championship contest of the winter features Greenwich and a surprise in St. Joseph playing for the FCIAC Boys Ice Hockey Championship. You can watch the Saturday, March 5, HAN Network broadcast in streaming HD on demand below:

St. Joseph’s bus was delayed getting to Stamford from Trumbull on Saturday, so the FCIAC moved the championship’s face-off to 3:30 p.m.

The championship pits two of the top boys ice hockey goalies in Connecticut: Greenwich’s Nick Bozzuto and St. Joseph’s Ryan Wilson. In the semifinals, Bozzuto and Greenwich shut out No. 4 Ridgefield, 3-0, to claim their spot in the championship. St. Joseph upset No. 2 Darien in a tight defensive game, 2-1, that saw the Cadets’ goalie, Ryan Wilson, make more than 40 saves.

Greenwich comes into the championship with a 17-4 overall record and 11-1 in the FCIAC, including the postseason. St. Joseph is 12-9-1 overall and 8-4-1 in league play. You can find links to the previous boys ice hockey (and of our other postseason broadcasts) below.

Throughout the season the FCIAC’s boys and girls hockey teams have been raising money to support ALS research. You can donate online or at the games as each team competes to raise more money. Find out more about FCIAC’s work to #IceALS at this link.
