The HAN Network will broadcast live at Staples High School in Westport as the Wreckers host the Darien Blue Wave in FCIAC baseball on Friday May 4 at 4 p.m.

Darien currently holds first place in the FCIAC with a 9-1 conference record, 12-2 overall.

The Blue Wave has won five games in a row, coming off an exciting 4-3 win over Fairfield Ludlowe on Wednesday night. Justin Jordan pitched a complete game against Ludlowe, only surrendering four hits, three runs, one walk, and 11 strikeouts. Sean O’Malley hit a two-run home run, Henry Williams went 2 for 2 with an RBI, and Arthur Xanthos went 2 for 3 with a double.


The Wreckers are second in the conference, trailing Darien by one game at 11-3 overall, 9-2 in the FCIAC.


The defending Class LL state champions have won five out of their last six games and are coming off a 9-0 victory over Stamford Wednesday night. In the win over Stamford, Chris Drbal went 2 for 4 with two doubles, two runs, and an RBI. Chad Knight went 2 for 4 with a double, one run, and an RBI, and Harry Azadian tallied a double and two RBIs.
