The No. 1 Darien Blue Wave takes on the No. 4 Greenwich Cardinals in the semifinals of the FCIAC girls lacrosse tournament live on the HAN Network on Monday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m.

The top-seeded Darien Blue Wave finished the regular season 11-0 in the FCIAC East, 14-2 overall.


The Blue Wave defeated the Staples Wreckers 18-6 in the quarterfinals. Nicole Humphrey had three goals and an assist, Maddie Joyce had three goals and an assist, Emma Jaques had three goals, Sarah Jaques had a goal and two assist, Katie Ramsay had two goals, and Ashley Humphrey had a goal and an assist.


The Greenwich Cardinals finished the regular season 9-1 in the FCIAC west division, 14-2 overall.


The Cardinals defeated Ridgefield 14-4 in the quarterfinals on Friday. Senior captain Genevieve DeWinter led the way with five goals and an assist, Maggie O’Gorman had three goals, Jordan Stefanowicz had two goals, and Grace Fahey, Jennifer Kelly, Paige Finneran all had one goal.
