The Staples Wreckers and the Fairfield Mustangs meet in the second FCIAC boys ice hockey playdown game Saturday at 6:30 p.m., live on the HAN Network.

The Fairfield co-op is seeding fifth, 7-4 in the FCIAC. The fourth-seeded Wreckers are 7-3-1 in the conference and won the clubs’ meeting Jan. 31, 9-6.
The winner will face top-seeded Greenwich Wednesday night at the Darien Ice House in the semifinals.
The other semifinal pits second-seeded Ridgefield against Darien, which eliminated New Canaan 5-2 in Saturday’s first quarterfinal game. Both semifinals can be viewed on the HAN Network Wednesday, as can Saturday’s FCIAC championship game.

On demand: After the the live broadcast ends, the game is then available on demand to HAN Network subscribers. Due to processing time, It may take up to three hours after the conclusion of the game until the game is ready for viewing.
