The quarterfinals matchups are set as No. 2 New Canaan hosts No. 7 Fairfield Ludlowe in the first round of the FCIAC girls lacrosse tournament live on the HAN Network Thursday, May 17, at 5:00 p.m.

Fairfield Ludlowe finished the regular season 11-5 overall, 5-5 in the FCIAC East. The Falcons have won four out their last five and look to start the postseason on a high note after losing to Darien 20-3 on Monday.


Head coach Amanda Mastera will rely on captains Melissa Bucher, Olivia D’Eramo, Amanda Schramm and Grace Flink to lead the Falcons to the semi finals.


New Canaan earned themselves a quarterfinal home game finishing 9-1 in the FCIAC, 11-4 overall.


The Rams are coming off an impressive 13-3 victory over Fox Lane (N.Y.) on Saturday. Braeden Dial led the way with three goals and three assists, Karlie Bucci had four goals and an assist, Lauren Bisceglia had three goals, Julie Ozimek tallied two goals and an assist, McKenna Harden had a goal and two assists.
