The Trumbull Eagles host the Fairfield Warde Mustangs in FCIAC boys lacrosse live on the HAN Network from McDougall Stadium on Tuesday April 24th at 7 p.m.

The Trumbull Eagles are off to a strong start, 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the FCIAC West. The Eagles have wins over Danbury 15-1, Greenwich 9-8, Stamford 15-2, Brien McMahon 20-2, New Milford 13-3, and Westhill 17-3. Their only two losses came against St. Joseph, 8-4, and Staples, 7-1.

After finishing 11-5 last season, Trumbull head coach James Kammerman has talented players returning this year and a balanced scoring attack. Senior Peter Raverta and junior Andrew Tinnesz will control the midfield and will look to attackmen Luke Kammerman, Reese Remeika and Riley Usher to find the back of the net.

The Fairfield Warde Mustangs enter Tuesday’s contest 3-5 overall, 1-5 in the east division. The Mustangs have wins over Rosyln (N.Y.) 9-8, Kennedy Catholic Somers (N.Y.) 12-1, and Norwalk 21-8. They’ve lost to Wilton 18-8, Fairfield Ludlowe 11-10, Staples 10-5, Ridgefield 19-3, and Darien 20-1.

In Warde’s 21-8 win over Norwalk last week, the young talent stepped up and led the way as sophomore Blake Epstein and freshman Jack McKenna were both dominant. McKenna scored six goals and Epstein added three goals and three assists.
