On Demand: FCIAC Boys Hockey Semifinal – #1 Greenwich vs. #5 Fairfield

The HAN Network will be broadcasting live from Darien High School as the Blue Wave host the Greenwich Cardinals in FCIAC boys basketball on Thursday, December 21 at 4:50 pm.

The Greenwich Cardinals and the Fairfield Mustangs meet in the FCIAC semifinals in boys ice hockey on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 4:50 p.m., live on the HAN Network at the Darien Ice House.

You can watch the HAN Network’s live Nutmeg Sports special pregame show at 4:00 p.m., and the game live at HAN.Network, or on Frontier Communications’ Vantage Sports Network (Chs. 600/1600).

The Fairfield co-op is the fifth seed, 11-8 overall and 7-4 in the FCIAC. The Greenwich Cardinals are the top seed as they finished 18-2 overall and 10-1 in the FCIAC.

Fairfield advanced with a 4-2 win over No. 4 Staples Saturday, led by Sawyer Coseglia with two goals and one assist, Will Von Brauchitsch with two assists.

 

Greenwich, which earned the top seed over Ridgefield via a head-to-head win, had a bye in the first round.

 

Greenwich beat Fairfield 8-3 on Feb. 15.

 

The winner will face the winner of the second semifinal game between No. 2 Ridgefield and No. 3 Darien. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Click here to watch Ridgefield vs. Darien.

 

Both semifinals can be viewed on the HAN Network, as can the FCIAC boys ice hockey championship game. The FCIAC Championship will be decided Saturday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the Darien Ice House. The HAN Network will cover all of the games in the tournament live.
