On Demand: FCIAC Boys Hockey Semifinal – #2 Ridgefield vs. #3 Darien

The HAN Network will be broadcasting live from the Darien Ice House as the #2 Ridgefield Tigers take on the #3 Darien Blue Wave in boys ice hockey semifinals on Wednesday, February 28 at 7:30 pm.

The defending champion Ridgefield Tigers face off against the Darien Blue Wave in the FCIAC semifinals in boys ice hockey on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m., live on the HAN Network at the Darien Ice House.

The Ridgefield Tigers are the No. 2 seed, 16-4 Overall and 10-1 in the FCIAC. They lost tied with Greenwich for 20 points in the conference, losing the tiebreaker on Greenwich’s 5-3 head-to-head victory Feb. 19.

The Darien Blue Wave are the third seed as they finished 9-10-1. They reached the semifinals with a 5-2 victory over New Canaan Saturday, with goalie Henri Pfiefle fending off an early New Canaan onslaught and making 28 saves, while Parker McLane found the back of the net twice.


Overall and 8-2-1 in the FCIAC. The Tigers won their last meeting on Feb.16, 5-3.


The winner will face the winner of the first semifinal game between No. 1 Greenwich and No. 5 Fairfield. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:50 p.m. Click here to watch Greenwich vs. Fairfield.


Both semifinals can be viewed on the HAN Network, as can the FCIAC boys ice hockey championship game. The FCIAC Championship will be decided Saturday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the Darien Ice House. The HAN Network will cover all of the games in the tournament live.
