For the third time in two weeks, the Darien and Trumbull baseball teams meet. This time it’s in the second round of the Connecticut Class LL state tournament and you can watch it live (or later on-demand) in the video player below:
Darien beat Wilbur Cross, 9-1, in the first round on Tuesday; while Trumbull beat FCIAC foe Norwalk, 1-0, to set up this early-round matchup. This will be the third meeting between the Blue Wave and Eagles this year, with each winning one game.
The two met in last week’s FCIAC Baseball Championship (rewatch it here), which Darien won on a walk-off hit in extra innings. On Wednesday Trumbull gets another shot at Darien, which won its first league title since 1981.
