CT Pulse talks The Great Give, Connecticut politics, more

Josh and Kate talk to The Valley Indy about The Great Give, Silver Hill expert talks eating disorders, body image, Connecticut budget and more

CT Pulse, a show on politics, what’s trending in the Constitution state and more, airs Wednesdays at 12:30. Watch it on demand later, or see this week’s show below:

This week, we aim to raise awareness on Mental Health issues with Silver Hill Hospital. Dr. Erin Kleifield talks to Kate Czaplinski about body image issues in the social media age.

The Great Give is underway, now through Thursday, May 5, at noon. ValleyIndy.org, a nonprofit online newspaper covering the lower Naugatuck Valley, has once again fired up the webcams and coffee machines for the second annual “Valley Indy Great Give Webcast.” We talk to Indy reporters Eugene Driscoll, Ethan Fry — and a few special guests — during their non-stop webcast.

The Great Give is presented by GiveGreater.org, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, The Valley Community Foundation and Give Local America.

Later in the show, we highlight some of the stories we are following this week, including passage of HB 5450, budget talks and more.

Cartoonist Doug Smith also shares his take on the week’s news.

CT Pulse is hosted by Kate Czaplinski and Josh Fisher, both former Connecticut newspaper editors. Josh is HAN’s executive producer and Kate is news director.
