The HAN Network will be broadcasting live from the Todd Burger Holiday Tournament as the Fairfield Ludlowe Falcons take on the Staples Wreckers Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 12:15 p.m.

The annual Todd Burger Holiday Tournament returns to Fairfield Warde High School for the semifinals, with the final at Fairfield Ludlowe High School on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 2:30 p.m. Burger, a local journalist, was sports editor of the Fairfield Citizen when he died Dec. 19, 2006, at the age of 49. The tournament began in 2007 under his name.
In the first semifinal game, the Ludlowe Falcons will take on the Staples Wreckers in a FCIAC non-conference matchup. These two teams look to gain early season momentum in the conference. Ludlowe enters the holiday tournament with a record of 1-3. After a victory over Harding, they have lost to Norwalk, Wilton, and Stamford.
The Falcons will look to junior captain Bridget Paulmann, who is a key returning player looks to lead the team on both sides of the floor so far this season.
The Wreckers have gotten off to a red hot start this season as they enter the holiday tournament 3-1 overall. Their only loss came to Bethel in the first game of the season but are now on a three-game winning streak with victories coming against New Canaan, St. Joseph, and Trinity Catholic. The Wreckers will lean on junior Arianna Gerig and Elli Fair, who are key players returning to the starting lineup and will continue to try and lead Staples to postseason success.
Frank Granito and John Kovach will be on the call.
The winner will play at the winner of the second semifinal between Fairfield Warde and St. Paul Catholic, which will air live after the Ludlowe-Staples game, at Ludlowe Thursday at 2:30 pm. Both games can be seen live on the HAN Network.

On your Smart TV: It’s easy to watch HAN Network broadcasts on your smart televisions or with Apple TV, Roku (search for Hersam Acorn on Roku’s YouTube channel) Amazon’s Firestick or Google’s Chromecast.
On demand: After the the live broadcast ends, the game is then available on demand to HAN Network subscribers. Due to processing time, It may take up to three hours after the conclusion of the game until the game is ready for viewing.
