The Fly Fishing Film Tour

Fishing films to support local projects take the spotlight on Yankee Fisherman, presented by The Dock Shop, Thursday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. at HAN.Network.

Jeff Yates of Trout Unlimited gives us a glimpse at the Fly Fishing Film Tour, and the projects in southwestern Connecticut that the showing Friday, Feb. 23, in Stamford will help support.

Watch the show below:

Doors to the Stamford Majestic Theater open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 each online or $30 at the door.

The Nutmeg, Mianus and Candlewod Valley chapters of Trout Unlimited will use money raised from ticket sales at raffles at F3T to work on local streams. A prior showing in Trumbull drew just short of 200 people.

A segment on the Hartford Boat Show is being rescheduled.

We’ll also get a feel for when Connecticut anglers will know about the possibility of having to buy a trout stamp, and other angling news.

Yankee Fisherman is hosted by John Kovach, editorial director, host and announcer for the HAN Network. A native of New Jersey, Kovach has fished since his father first took him out as a child. Kovach fishes fresh and salt water, ties flies, dabbles in lure making and promotes conservation, including a leadership role in the Connecticut Council of Trout Unlimited.
